Upbeet Foods
Today we started a new project with Upbeet Foods, a company that is truly breaking the stereotypes of vegan food. The world is changing; people are becoming more eco and health conscious, and those core values are what Upbeet Foods bring to the table, literally. They are a company that believes in eating healthy and clean, with delicious meals that you won't need to break the bank with. Not only is it extremely affordable, it’s convenient and packed full of flavour. They prepare and deliver meals right to your front door. When Upbeet Foods say, they plant delicious vegan meals at your table, they mean it.
The first step in making incredible food is growing it, so that’s why we shot our first scene in the green house. Upon arrival, we realized we didn't have much space to work with. Our team decided to minimize the setup, so broke down our camera setup to a bare minimum rig consisting of a matte box (so that we could use a 4x4 polarizer filter to cut the glare), monitor, and rails to hold it all together on a Sachtler tripod. Lighting was reduced to two 60W LED LED Go fresnel's with a diffuser panel.
Growing some ideas in the greenhouse.
We nailed the shots out in two hours, and were more than satisfied with the results. Adjusting your equipment to the surrounding location (like we had to) is sometimes needed. Be confident in your decision making, sometimes the best ideas happen in the spur of the moment to get the job done. Let your surroundings inspire you, and remember less, is sometimes more.
We filmed on the Sony A7sii in Slog3, other equipment used today:
